My computer ran all PlayStation 2 games very smoothly. Any ideas (New to PCSX2) Press F4, you disabled frame limiting most likely (F4 turns on and off). Its around 120-140ish sometimes saw it jump to 300. The thing is, I have no idea what it could be. I ran all the games mentioned above in this new clean version and all the games behaved in the same way, that is, slowly. I could play it, but it didnt feel right. Jak X - Combat Racing was kind of laggy though. ![]() I havent played all the way through the games, but what I did play, they didnt really feel slow or sluggish to me. But to check if the problem was this reason I installed in a different folder the new version of RetroArch. The Jak and Daxter games also run fairly well for me, considering that the levels are pretty large and open. I don't know if that could cause problems. But when it comes to PS2 emulation, I'm just barely meeting the requirements on some games. I can run Doom with ultra settings 140fps no problem. I don't know if this is inadvisable, but usually in my updates I always install the new version on top of the previous version's folder. I have a powerful high-end PC which can run any game you throw at it easily. I started to imagine that it could be some RetroArch configuration. Keep reading if the PS2 game you downloaded is not in these formats. I always felt that those games simply ran too fast, and I get a more realistic experience to slow the gameplay down through PCSX2. PCSX2 is really the only solid PS2 emualtion solution there currently is. I thought my computer was busy with some unknown processing. With your specification you should be able to run PS2 games pretty well, especially at native res, using the standalone PCSX2 emulator. And I had played this game several times before at its normal speed.įinally, just to do a test, I decided to open a super light game, a super nintendo game, called “Aladin” and surprisingly the game Aladin was also slow. So I decided to play a game that I had already played several times on RetroArch, a DreamCast game called “Alien Front Online”. Initially I thought it was because the emulator still can't run that respective game well. But right from the start we saw that the speed was not good. Through Retroarch, and using the PCSX2 emulator core we start the game. We decided on a 4 player game and therefore chose the game “gauntlet seven sorrows”. Are there any other emulators that need PS2 BIOS to run Games on PC No. You can sometimes just run away, but that isn’t as easy as just leaving the room, and sometimes you can’t even do that.I decided to play a video game this weekend with my friends. Make sure you have a high-end PC to use PCSX2 because it would not run on low-end PCs. You need atleast a 3Ghz duo/quad CPU for this sh1t to run good. Theres a frameskip option in Pcsx2, but it doesnt work very good, so youre pretty much screwed lol. Thats because the emulator isnt using frame skip, like normal PC games. While sometimes, this just means that it’s more difficult to get them to show a vulnerable side, it more vexingly manifests as the ability to just disappear in front of you and show up directly behind you, ready to sneak a grab of your fine cheeks. This isn’t so bad on its own and is generally how combat works in the entire series. As I mentioned, you can only protect yourself with the Camera Obscure, which takes you into a first-person perspective. While horror games at the time were experimenting with helpless protagonists, limited supplies, and terrible combat, Fatal Frame essentially has all of the above.
